Accessible ski resort

Bormio is an accessible ski resort for everyone. Disabled people may enter our lifts and ski in complete autonomy.

Bormio, like most ski resorts in the Lombardia region, is accessible for everyone. Our resort is well equipped for what concerns facilities and services, such as:

  • lifts
  • qualified lifts’ staff
  • trained ski schools in handiski
  • reserved parking lots
  • barrier-free accomodation facilities.

The parking lots are situated next to the bottom station of the cableway Bormio-Bormio 2000: the reserved spots for disabled people are indoor below ground and from there to reach the cableway level you may use the elevator.

Our staff has been educated and the lifts renewed in order to welcome people with disabilities. The accomodation facilities in Bormio 2000 were recently rebuilt and architectural barriers were taken away.

Disable people may benefit from a 30 % discount on the lift pass prices.

Bormio Ski is a proud resort hosting the event “Teleflex Winter Cup” organized by “Freerider Sport Events“: a sports association focusing in the organization of outdoor events (mainly in the mountains) which involve people with disability.

All the barriers that may limit the practice of a sport can be passed: that’s the message that Freerider Sport Events wants to share with its events.
