A week of international alpine skiing
From 10 to 19 February 2027, Bormio will host the English Alpine Championships, one of the UK’s leading alpine skiing events.
The championships will bring young athletes, families and supporters from the United Kingdom and beyond to Bormio for a week of racing, training and winter sports.
An event that has been returning to Bormio for years
Bormio has hosted the English Alpine Championships for several years, confirming its role as a leading destination for international alpine ski racing.
The event offers young athletes an important opportunity to compete and develop their skills. It is also a much-anticipated week for the families who choose Bormio each winter for their holiday on the snow.
Over the years, the English Alpine Championships have supported the development of numerous British alpine skiing talents, becoming an important step in their sporting careers.
English Alpine Championship: the competitions
The 2027 edition will feature Children’s and FIS races in the main alpine skiing disciplines:
- slalom;
- giant slalom;
- super-G;
- combined.
The Children’s races will involve athletes from the age of eight, while the FIS competitions will bring together international-level skiers.

Bormio: the perfect setting for alpine ski racing
With over 1,800 metres of vertical drop, technically demanding slopes and lifts reaching an altitude of 3,000 metres, Bormio provides the perfect setting for high-level races and training.
The resort’s racing tradition is closely linked to the Stelvio slope, one of the best-known slopes on the international circuit and a regular venue for Alpine Ski World Cup races.
In February 2026, Bormio also hosted the men’s Alpine skiing events at the Milano Cortina Olympic Games, further strengthening its role on the international skiing scene.
