From March 13 to 15 2012 Bormio will host the College National Championships of alpine and cross-country ski.
It is the most important competitive event on national level organized by C.U.S.I. (Centro Universitario Sportivo Italiano); the competitions are within an international circuit for what concerns F.I.S. (Federation Internazionale de Ski) and F.I.S.U. (International University Sports Federation) in the college sports world.
The event is planned to have a giant slalom, special and super giant both men's and women's.
The ranking counts athletes from all over Europe and overseas too (last edition 13 foreign countries were represented and 2 extra-European). The College National Champion will be determined out of that ranking.
The participation to the cross-country ski races is limited only to Italian students who must also be FISI members.
Bormio, worldwide known for hosting the 2005 Alpine Ski World Cup is going to be a very interesting resort where to enjoy the atmosphere of college sports together with big athletes and entertaining side events.
