in

Bormio is experiencing weeks that will go down in history.

The Olympic competitions have turned the international spotlight on our mountain, bringing athletes and spectators from all over the world to the Stelvio and making the ski area the stage of an extraordinary event.

The program of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics in Bormio is not yet over: two ski mountaineering races are still scheduled. For this reason, from Tuesday, 17 February, the ski area will partially reopen to the public.

From 17 to 22 February 2026, skiing will be possible from Bormio 3000 down to Ciuk (1,636 m).

The following slopes will remain closed:

  • Stelvio A3–A4
  • Bosco Basso

The closures are necessary to ensure the safe execution of the remaining competitions.

The ski area will resume its regular ski season from 23 February.

⚠️Attention: Please note that there is no public parking available at the departure station of the Bormio cableway. We kindly invite all guests to use the public shuttle service (check here the bus stops and times till 22 Feb: https://short.do/L4hHwi) or reach the ski area on foot.

The Final Olympic Races on the Stelvio

We would like to remind you of the ski mountaineering competitions scheduled this week on the Stelvio slope.

  • Thursday, 19 February – Men’s and Women’s Sprint Qualifications: 9:50 am Finals: 12:55 pm
  • Saturday, 21 February – Mixed Relay Start time: 1:30 pm

We invite everyone to show their support and share the warmth of Bormio with the athletes competing in this discipline, new to the Olympic program, which brings to the Stelvio a highly dynamic, technical and intense version of ski mountaineering.

An unmissable appointment on 17 February from 3:00 pm in Piazza Cavour with the Official Opening Ceremony of the Olympic ski mountaineering competitions.
