It's official: Bormio will host the Val Gardena Downhill, cancelled last Saturday due to bad weather conditions. It's a fantastic news for the ski resort from Lombardy whose Stelvio slope was recently chosen to host the Winter Olympics 2026.
The schedule of the Bormio Ski World Cup 2019 gets spectacular with three adrenalinic races.
On Thursday 26 December there will be just one official training and the following day - on 27 December - there will be the Val Gardena Downhill instead of the second training. FIS and the organizing committee have decided for a less demanding start from the lower Rocca.
As planned, on 28 December there will be the second Men's Downhill with classic start at 2,255 meters and the nex day the Alpine Combi.
