Yesterday a delegation of FIS, represented by Helmuth Schmalzl, gave official OK for the World Cup Men Downhill after the inspection that took place on the Stelvio slope, fourteen days before the race.

Participants to the inspection, beyon Schmalzl, were Massimo Rinaldi, Chief of race, Pasquale Canclini, Bormio Ski delegate, Tino Pietrogiovanna, Chief of slope and Chicco Pedrini, who’s responsible for safety and nets installation.

Taken the current conditions and the  weather forecasts for the next few days into consideration, the race has been officially confirmed.

On December 29, it will be "pure adrenaline" on the Stelvio slope.
