Bormio Freeride Festival: from 16 to 24 March a tribute to powder skiing

If you are looking for some serious off-piste skiing, the Alta Valtellina territory is among the best ski resorts in Italy but it surprisely remains one of the least inflated on the Alps. Sign up to Bormio Freeride Festival from 16 to 24 March 2019 to get an amazing powder skiing experience.

It's a nind-day festival organized by the local mountain guides and it's a tribute to skiing, in its most free and emotional expression. The freeride spots will be selected with maximum attention within unexplored environments of Bormio and its valleys.

The festival includes several fun activities for riders of every level and it's a nice opportunity to become more aware about powder skiing. Here are some examples of what the skiers (we specifiy, both skiers and snowboarders 😊) will be doing:

• course for kids (8-16 ages) with specialist ski instructors
• guided tours with mountain guides for intermediate/pro level

What is heliskiing?

Heliskiing (or heli-skiing) is off-trail, downhill skiing or snowboarding that is accessed by a helicopter, as opposed to a ski lift. 

How to join the Freeride Festival

Bormio Freeride Festival is open to all, but in orden to participate to the guided excursions it is necessary to be registered at the event. The cost of the registration is only € 10!
