The memorial event Walter Fontana has turned twenty. It started in the winter 1993/94, it's a competition addressed to young skiers of different disciplines and from all over the world. As well as a sports event it has alwasy been the economic support of the Onlus Cancro Primo Aiuto: hundreds of races, more than 67 thousand athletes representing 52 nations, and testimonials that have made the history of Italian skiing such as Deborah Compagnoni and Giorgio Rocca.
On the occasion of the 20th birthday, the Memorial event is organizing the Italian Championships and Bormio will be hosting the highilght moment of the circuit. On December 30, the day after the World Cup Men Downhill, Bormio will carry out a night-slalom on the Stelvio slope.
