Bormio is getting ready for a summer like no other:
In preparation for the Winter Olympic Games in February 2026, the ski lifts in Bormio and the Bormio Bike Park will be closed to the public during the summer of 2025.

Lifts Closed in Bormio for Summer 2025: Everything You Need to Know

As of April 2025, construction work has resumed on Vallecetta Moutain in preparation for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

To allow the smooth progress of the work:

  • Bormio 2000, Bormio 3000, and Cimino ski lifts will remain closed.
  • Bormio Bike Park will also be inaccessible throughout the summer of 2025.

We apologize for any inconvenience this exceptional closure may cause our visitors.
Work will continue without interruption until late autumn.

Mountain Huts Open in Bormio – Summer 2025: Where to Eat at High Altitude

Wondering if you’ll still be able to enjoy lunch at altitude? The answer is yes!
Although several construction sites are planned on the mountain, most of the huts on Monte Vallecetta will remain open to the public and can be reached by private, depending on worksite accessibility.

👉 👉 We strongly recommend contacting the huts in advance to confirm their opening status and availability.
