Fast and comfortable: summer lifts easily connect the valley floor to the highest peaks where to enjoy wide open areas and the most fabulous views. The mountain is the place where to rediscover the contact with nature and do some amazing hiking or mountain biking.
In Bormio, in the heart of the region Alta Valtellina, we are finally ready to open and start the Summer season in the Alps.
From Saturday 8 July to 10 September 2023 there will be three main lifts open:
- cableway Bormio-Bormio 2000
- chairlift Bormio 2000-Cimino
- cablecar Whitelady3000 (Bormio 2000-Cima Bianca)
Mountain bike, trekking and the local cuisine
Downhill at 3,000 meters
Our lifts are located on the Vallecetta Mount, the ideal place for mountain biking lovers. As a matter of fact, the project Bormio Bike Park, launched in the summer of 2012, offers a wide range of bike itineraries: cross country, freeride and downhill stretched along an amazing 1,800-meter vertical.
On July 2017, our bike park hosted the most important national gravity event of the year, the DH Italian Champs 2017 on a renovated track. This Summer the show will go on. On 26/27 August Bormio will host the last race of the DH Italian Champs 2023.

Seven downhill trails developed on a vertical drop of more than 1,000 meters, from Bormio 3000 (3,012 m) to Bormio 2000 (1,952 m).

Trekking in the Stelvio Park
Also, people with a passion for trekking and nordic walking may count on hundreds of km of hiking paths suitable for any kind of level, from families to excursion experts. The landscape is breathtaking and typical of an alpine environment: we are within the Stelvio National Park and here it is easy to bump into ungulates such as deers, steinbocks, chamoisis or marmots, eagles, bearded vultures and many others.
Once you are done with the sport, it's time to take a little break in a mountain hut and enjoy the traditional menu of Valtellina: sciatt, bresaola, pizzoccheri, malfatti, polenta taragna, etc. The meal will of course be accompanied by a full-bodied local red wine.
Summer lifts in Bormio: dates and hours 2023
Lifts open from 8 July to 10 September 2023 (and 16-17, 23-24/09)*
- Cableway Bormio-Bormio 2000 | everyday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
- Chairlift Bormio 2000-Cimino | in August everyday from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm | In July and September open only Saturday and Sunday
- Panoramic cablecar Whitelady3000 | everyday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

To avoid crowds at the cash desks, we suggest you book tickets for the lifts on the shop online. You will receive a confirmation email with the electronic ticket that will allow you to directly access the lift gates without having to go through the ticket office.
The ticket offices in Bormio and Bormio 2000 will in any case be open for last-minute purchases on site. In addition, an automatic ticket machine will be installed in the Bormio ticket office.
