May 23, 2012 - There is about one month to go before the opening of the BormioSki lifts for the summer time. We are waiting for you on July 1 through September 9, 2012 with a lot of news and important changes.
The Vallecetta side has a lot to offer for all those who love nature, sports and good food. You will have the chance to discover our mountain as an ideal destination for hiking and biking for your whole family. The trails go from the peak at level 3,000 meters all the way down to the village in Bormio. You will be enchanted by the beautiful landscapes so diversified and unique: you will come across the unreal lunar landscape of the "Cima Bianca", made of rocks, or the magnificient woods of fir trees and Scots pines. You may encounter marvellous alpine lakes and streams or cross the World Cup slopes and if you'll be lucky, you might see the majestic flight of the eagles and the lammergeyers. And your mandatory break is in one of the many restaurants situated on the mountain to give yourself the best of our wines and food in Valtellina.
But the real news is called "Bormio Gravity World"- a project dedicated specifically to mountain bikes and biking in general and made possible thanks to the collaboration with Comunità Montana Alta Valtellina. The bike trails which we are going to build are mostly for cross-country, that means they are perfect for your family, your children on your mountain bike. The new signs and a good maintenance of the trails will make your bike day with your family a real adventure. Also, you can decide to go with a bike instructor of the school Mountain Bike Alta Valtellina that will take you to the most evocative spots in total safety. And if this is not enough for you and you need more adrenalinde, we will build some freeride trails too, from Cima Bianca to Bormio 2000!!!
After a day like this I think you will deserve a drink at the après-bike BeWhite and you really are getting it all from Vallecetta.
